Second Stage Theatre has announced complete casting for its upcoming production of Terrence McNally's Lips Together, Teeth Apart. Beginning performances on October 7 in advance of a November 5 opening, the production will be the first mounting of the play in New York City in 23 years.

Peter DuBois will direct a company featuring Emmy Award winner America Ferrera (Ugly Betty, Bethany), Michael Chernus (Orange Is the New Black), Tracee Chimo (Bad Jews), and Austin Lysy (The Water's Edge).

Lips Together, Teeth Apart is set over a Fourth of July weekend on Fire Island, where a brother and sister are celebrating the summer holiday with their spouses. While the couples attempt to enjoy themselves, their insecurities and prejudices get in the way as they find themselves in the midst of a gay community. The play premiered off-Broadway in 1991 with Manhattan Theatre Club. The original cast featured Christine Baranski, Swoosie Kurtz, Nathan Lane, and Anthony Heald.

Performances at Second Stage will run through November 23.
