Laura Benanti, Donna Murphy, Will Chase, Anthony Warlow, and More to Celebrate 30th Birthday of New York Pops

A host of Broadway favorites, including Tony Award winners Laura Benanti (Gypsy), Donna Murphy (Into the Woods), James Naughton (Chicago), and Leslie Uggams (On Golden Pond), as well as nominees Liz Callaway (Baby), Kelli O'Hara (Far From Heaven), and Laura Osnes (Cinderella), will celebrate the 30th birthday of the New York Pops on April 29 with a salute to the music of Frank Loesser and Jule Styne. The concert at Carnegie Hall, followed by a dinner dance at the Plaza Hotel, will be hosted by Paula Zahn of the program NYC Arts on PBS.

The concert will also feature the talents of Nick Adams (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Stephanie J. Block (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Will Chase (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Megan Hilty (Smash), Rob McClure (Chaplin), Max von Essen (Evita), Anthony Warlow (Annie), Betsy Wolfe (The Last Five Years), and singer Marilyn Maye. Steven Reineke will conduct the evening, which will include appearances by the Ronald McDonald House Rockin' the House Band and Chorus, Camp Broadway Kids, and The New York Pops Salute to Music Students.

Loesser is the composer/lyricist of the musicals How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Guys and Dolls, Where's Charley?, and The Most Happy Fella, among others. Styne is the composer of musicals including Gypsy, Bells are Ringing, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and Funny Girl.
