Kelli O'Hara, Steven Pasquale, and the Cast of Off-Broadway's Far From Heaven Meet the Press

Your first look at the stars of the romantic drama, which begins May 8 at Playwrights Horizons.

The cast of the Playwrights Horizons production of the new musical Far From Heaven met the press at their rehearsal studio on Monday, April 15. Featuring a book by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg (The Assembled Parties) and a score by Grey Gardens writers Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, the work is directed by Michael Greif (Rent) and runs from May 8-June 30.

Four-time Tony Award winner Kelli O'Hara (Nice Work If You Can Get It) leads the company as Cathy Whitaker, with Steven Pasquale (The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide…) as Frank Whitaker, Isaiah Johnson (Peter and the Starcatcher) as Raymond, Olivier Award nominee Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town) as Eleanor, Obie Award winner Quincy Tyler Bernstine (In the Next Room…) as Sybil, Obie Award winner Alma Cuervo (Cabaret) as Mona Lauder, J.B. Adams (Parade) as Morris Farnsworth, Marinda Anderson (From the Inside, Out) as Esther, Justin Scott Brown (Les Misérables) as Chase, Korey Jackson (Wild with Happy) as Gus, James Moye (Million Dollar Quartet) as Stan, Sarah Jane Shanks (Wicked) as Doreen/Connie, Tess Soltau (Into the Woods) as Nancy, Mary Stout (Beauty and the Beast) as Mrs. Leacock, Victor Wallace (Mamma Mia!) as Dick, as well as Elainey Bass and Jake Lucas.

Inspired by the motion picture written and directed by Todd Haynes, Far From Heaven tells the story of Cathy Whitaker (O'Hara), a suburban wife and mother in 1957 whose life begins to unravel as secret longings and forbidden desires begin to bubble underneath the surface.
