No one brings the backwoods to the Broadway like Reba.

As the Broadway community celebrates the talent of Reba McEntire, we can't help but mourn the fact that she and her Oklahoma twang have only graced the Great White Way once. The few months we spent together when Reba took on the made-to-order role of Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun more than a decade ago were, of course, glorious. But we just can't get enough of Reba's spitfire awesomeness.

It's not like Broadway hasn't been trying! In 2010, Sutton Foster, Craig Bierko, and Kathleen Marshall banded together to try to convince Reba to come back to New York with a reading of The Unsinkable Molly Brown they put on especially for her.

Reba, you didn't bite that time, but the part of Molly Brown, another fiery Southern girl, is obviously perfect for you (even James Cameron thought so). And you're in a good mood because it's your birthday. And we really like you. So, come back to Broadway?

Just look at her go!
