Carol Channing and Tommy Tune Make Provincetown Debuts Tonight in "An Evening With Carol Channing"
The one-night event will take place at Town Hall Theatre.
During the evening, Channing will chronicle her life and career and speak candidly about her 70-plus years in show business, with Tune asking questions. "Carol Channing is one of the greats of the American Theatre," said Tune in a statement. "The fact that she is willing to schlep across the country and sit on stage and talk to me shows how full of life and love she is."
Carol Channing last appeared on Broadway in the 1995 revival of Hello, Dolly!. In that production she stepped back into the role of Mrs. Dolly Gallagher Levi, for which she won a Tony in 1964.
Tommy Tune, who has known Channing since his teenage years, has most recently appeared on Broadway in shows including The Will Rogers Follies and his own revue Tommy Tune Tonight!
