Oscar nominee Amy Irving will star as Desiree Armfeldt in the Opera Theatre of St. Louis’ production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s A Little Night Music, June 6-19. As previously announced, the production will be directed and designed by Isaac Mizrahi, and conducted by Stephen Lord.

Old flames are rekindled and love affairs ignite in this farce about a famous actress and her weekend guests — which include an ex-lover, his much-younger bride, and a very jealous count.

The cast will also include Siân Phillips (Mdm. Armfeldt), Christopher Herbert (Henrik Egerman), Ron Raines (Fredrik Egerman), Amanda Squitieri (Anne Egerman), Lee Gregory (Carl-Magnus Malcolm), Erin Holland (Charlotte Malcolm), Vivian Krich-Brinton (Fredrika Armfeldt), Candra Savage (Petra), Aaron Agulay (Mr. Lindquist), Lauren Jelencovich (Mrs. Nordstrom), Corinne Winters (Mrs. Anderssen), and Mark Van Arsdale (Mr. Erlanson).

The creative team will also include Michael Chybowski (lighting), Tom Watson (wigs/make-up), and Seán Curran (choreography).
