How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which was first published in 1957, tells the story of a mean-spirited creature who literally steals the holiday from a cheerful group of townsfolk called the Whos. Nonetheless, they decide to celebrate Christmas, even inviting the Grinch to join the festivities. The show has been a long-time holiday favorite at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, where it was directed by Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. He will serve as the production creator and supervisor for the Broadway production.

Hopkins, who will play Mama Who, has starred Off-Broadway in The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Bare, and Bat Boy: The Musical and recently starred in the Williamstown Theatre Festival production of The Opposite of Sex. McCormick, who will play Grandpa Who, recently starred on Broadway in The Pajama Game. His other Main Stem credits include Gypsy, Marie Christine, and Oliver! Page, who will play the Grinch, is currently starring as Scar in The Lion King. His other Broadway credits include Julius Caesar and Beauty and the Beast and he recently won the Helen Hayes Award for his performance as Iago in Othello.
