Nora Ephron to Receive 2011 DGA Honor

Nora Ephron will be among those honored by the Directors Guild of America at the 2011 DGA Honors in New York City on Thursday, October 13, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The event will also honor HBO President of Documentary Films Sheila Nevins, Senator Patrick Leahy and IATSE International President Matthew Loeb, and will feature a special posthumous tribute to pioneering female filmmaker Alice Guy Blaché.


With her sister Delia, Ephron has written Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which is currently running Off-Broadway and is being produced around the country. She is best known for her work as a screenwriter and film director; her many credits include Julie and Julia, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, Heartburn, and Silkwood.
