John Tartaglia will star in The New Fangled Variety Show, to be taped before a live audience at Comix on August 10 at 7pm and 9pm. It will be directed by Donna Drake, with musical supervision by Michael Patrick Walker.

The show, which will be a mix of music and comedy, features work by head writer and video editor Victor Varnado, with additional writing by Karen Sneider and members of the cast. Performers will also include some of Tartaglia's Shrek cast mates, Bobby Daye, Aymee Garcia, Noah Rivera, and Jennifer Simard.

Tartaglia is currently playing Pinocchio in the Broadway musical Shrek and received a Tony Award nomination for his work in Avenue Q. He is also an Emmy Award nominee for his work on the Disney Channel's Johnny and the Sprites.
