The Broadway production of Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman's The Bridges of Madison County will end its run at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Sunday, May 18 after playing 137 performances.

Starring Kelli O'Hara, who received her fifth Tony Award nomination for her performance, and Steven Pasquale, the musical is inspired by the novel of the same title by Robert James Waller. It is directed by Bartlett Sher. The cast also features Hunter Foster, Derek Klena, Caitlin Kinnunen, Michael X. Martin, Cass Morgan, Whitney Bashor, Jennifer Allen, Ephie Aardema, Katie Klaus, Luke Markinovich, Aaron Ramey, Dan Sharkey, Tim Wright, Jessica Vosk, Charlie Franklin, and Kevin Kern.

Following the Broadway run, the musical, which tells the story of an Iowa farm wife and her brief love affair with an intrepid photographer, will embark on a national tour, also directed by Tony winner Sher, beginning in the fall of 2015. On the design team are Michael Yeargan (scenic design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), and Jon Weston (sound design).

The Bridges of Madison County played a tryout run at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in the summer of 2014. The Broadway production is the recipient of four Tony Award nominations, including Best Actress in a Musical and Best Original Score, nine Drama Desk Award nominations, including Best New Musical, and two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations.
