London’s Royal Opera House to Present Into the Woods

London’s Royal Opera House will present a new production of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical Into the Woods at the Linbury Studio Theatre, June 14-30. The production will be directed by Will Tuckett.

The cast will be led by British film and stage stars Beverley Klein, Anne Reid, and Clive Rowe; it will also feature Gillian Kirkpatrick, Peter Caulfield, Elizabeth Brice, Martin Nelson, Suzanne Toase, Linda Hibberd, Nicholas Garrett, Katrina Murphy, Nic Greenshields, and Byron Watson.

The cast will be accompanied by 14 musicians conducted by James Holmes, Head of Music for Opera North. Sets and costumes will be by Tony Award winner Lez Brotherston with lighting by Tim Mitchell.
