The hour long star installation ceremony attracted over 100 fans, including local dignitaries and celebrities such as award-winning actress Margaret O'Brien, who spoke in tribute to the Broadway legend.
Channing won the Tony Award for her performance in Hello, Dolly! 1964, as well as a special Tony in 1968 and a third Tony for Lifetime Achievement in 1995. Her Broadway credits also include The Vamp, Lend an Ear, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She received an Oscar nomination for Thoroughly Modern Millie.
