The California Women's Conference held a special launch event on Thursday, August 2 at the Hotel Maya/Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Long Beach, in anticipation of the organization's conference, to be held at the Long Beach Convention Center on September 23 and 24.

Among the attendees were Donzaleigh Abernathy, Morgan Brittany, Kami Cotler, Marcia Cross, Romi Dames, Frances Fisher, Tippi Hedren, Geri Jewell, Sharon Lawrence, Kate Linder, Mother Love, Mary McDonough, Erin Murphy, Judy Norton, Lee Purcell, Barbara Van Orden, and Conference organizer, Michelle Patterson.

This year's line-up for the September conference will include notable names such as Carol Channing, Gloria Allred, Marcia Cross, Donna Karan, Amanda de Cadenet, Dr. John Gray, Shannon Tweed, Michael Learned, Judy Norton, Mary McDonough, Kami Cotler, Rose Marie, Julie Newmar, JoAnne Worley, Judy Carter, Geri Jewell, Donzaleigh Abernathy, Tippi Hedren and a special performance by Melissa Manchester.
