A stage version of the 1935 Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire film Top Hat, starring Summer Strallen and Tom Chambers, will tour the UK in 2011, according to published reports. Matthew White will direct and co-adapt the show, which will feature choreography by Bill Deamer.
The show will feature the five songs from the film by Irving Berlin, along with other songs from the Berlin catalogue.
The show’s tour will begin in August in Milton Keynes, with additional stops in Birmingham, Salford, Southampton, Plymouth, Norwich, Canterbury and Leeds.
