About This Show

Lewis Carroll’s timeless classics Alice in Wonderland and Through the Lookingglass are given a topsy-turvy makeover in the surreal and stunning Lookingglass Alice. Adapted and directed by David Catlin, this unique production is performed in the round (on-stage seating available) and packed with theatrical wizardry, circus style stunts and surprises around every corner. Alice – that pugnacious explorer, demure deconstructionist, young woman unfazed by Jabberwock – must make her way across an illuminated chessboard by out-witting the Red Queen, out-chatting the Mad Hatter and out-maneuvering the bizarre but friendly Caterpillar. Filled with marvelous flights of fancy and a subtle whiff of wistfulness, Chicago’s celebrated Lookingglass Theater Company delivers a trip down the rabbit hole “that is nothing short of brillig” (Chicago Sun-Times).

In addition to the regular schedule, two extra performances have been arranged for Wednesday, February 21. The first performance is set for 2:00 PM with a second performance that same day at 7:00 PM. The 7:00 PM show will feature a Talk Back after the performance.

The 7:00 PM show on Thursday, February 22 will feature a signed interpretation for any members of the audience that may be hearing-impaired.

The 7:00 PM show on Friday, February 23 will feature a Talk Back after the performance.
