The producers of the new Broadway play A Time to Kill have announced plans for their first Talkback Tuesday post-show conversation, which will follow the Tuesday, November 5 performance at the John Golden Theatre. After the show that day, high-profile defense attorney Benjamin Brafman will lead a discussion with members of the cast and that day's audience.
A Time to Kill is inspired by the classic novel by John Grisham of the same name. The new courtroom drama follows an idealistic young attorney defending a black man on murder charges. It is adapted by Rupert Holmes and directed by Ethan McSweeny.
The cast features Sebastian Arcelus, Chiké Johnson, Patrick Page, Tonya Pinkins, Tom Skerritt, Fred Dalton Thompson, John Douglas Thompson, and Ashley Williams.
Benjamin Brafman is the principal of a seven-lawyer firm, Brafman & Associates, P.C., that specializes in criminal defense. Brafman is a former Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office and has been in private practice since 1980.
