The Public Theater has released the first images of John Lithgow, Annette Bening, and the rest of the cast in Shakespeare in the Park's King Lear, running through August 17 at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The classic Shakespearean tragedy features John Lithgow in the title role. Daniel Sullivan directs.

In addition to Lithgow, the cast includes Tony nominee Annette Bening as Goneril, Tony nominee Jessica Hecht as Regan, and Jessica Collins as Cordelia. Also featured are Jay O. Sanders as Kent, Chukwudi Iwuji as Edgar, Clarke Peters as Gloucester, Steven Boyer as the Fool, Jeremy Bobb as Oswald, Christopher Innvar as Albany, Glenn Fleshler as Cornwall, Slate Holmgren as King of France, Eric Sheffer Stevens as Edmund, and Dale Place as Old Man/Curan.
