The Big Knife Celebrates its Broadway Opening Tonight!

Tony Award nominees Bobby Cannavale and Marin Ireland open the Broadway revival of the Clifford Odets classic this evening at the American Airlines Theatre.

By New York City

The work of playwright Clifford Odets officially returns to the Broadway stage tonight with Roundabout Theatre Company's opening of The Big Knife at the American Airlines Theatre.

Tony Award nominees Bobby Cannavale (Glengarry Glen Ross) and Marin Ireland (Reasons to be Pretty) join veterans of stage and screen, Tony Award nominee Reg Rogers, Richard Kind, Chip Zien, and more for the revival of this play, not seen onstage since its debut in 1949. The play follows film star Charlie Castle (Cannavale) who tries to escape the control of his corrupt Hollywood studio in order to save his marriage. However, this proves difficult to do when the studio uses information about his past to hold him captive.
