Mike Daisey will bring a revised version of his controversial monologue The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs back to Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company this summer, running at the theater from July 17-August 5.

Directed by Jean-Michele Gregory, the new edition of the work, which examines the public consumption of technology and the corporate and labor practices of Apple and the Foxconn facility in China, will address the controversy which stemmed from Daisey's appearance on the radio show This American Life. Additionally, Daisey will cut contested material, as well as reflect on the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs.

The piece was first performed in the summer of 2010 at Woolly Mammoth and returned for its DC premiere in spring 2011. Since then, it has been seen by over 75,000 people, including two runs Off-Broadway at the Public Theater.

Daisey's previous solo shows include If You See Something Say Something, How Theater Failed America, and The Last Cargo Cult.
