Signature Theater’s Hairspray Extended Through February 5

Signature Theater’s successful production of Hairspray has been been extended for another week of performances; it will now close on February 5.
The popular musical, based on John Water’s 1988 film, is the winner of eight Tony Awards, including ‘Best Musical.’ The show follows the trials of loveable loser Tracey Turnblad whose dreams come true when she wins a contest to appear on her favorite dance program, “The Corny Collins Show.” Signature’s production has been described as “delectable,” by The Washington Post, and “…brilliant,” by The Baltimore Sun.
The cast stars Robert Aubry Davis (Edna Turnblad), Carolyn Cole (Tracy Turnblad), Nova Y. Payton (Motormouth Mable), Sherri L. Edelen (Velma Von Tussle), Patrick Thomas Cragin (Link Larkin), Stephen Gregory Smith (Corny Collins), and Harry A. Winter (Wilbur Turnblad).
