Olney Theatre Center’s The 39 Steps to Extend Through May 20

Olney Theatre Center’s run of The 39 Steps, originally slated to close on May 13, has been extended through May 20. The production will open in Olney Theatre Center’s Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab on April 18. Associate artistic director Clay Hopper is directing.

Adapted by Patrick Barlow from the John Buchan novel, The 39 Steps is a comedic twist on Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film. After agreeing to take a mysterious woman home from the theater, a man finds himself accused of murder.

In the production, four actors take on the task of playing over 150 characters.
