A casting change has been announced for the upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors at the Kennedy Center, set to run October 24-28. Due to unforeseen circumstances unrelated to the production, Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Hamilton, Aladdin), will no longer be able to perform the role of Audrey II. The role will be assumed by Michael James Leslie, who has played the role of Audrey II on Broadway, in Los Angeles, London, and across the country.

Leslie made his Broadway debut in the 1977 revival of Hair and understudied the Voice of Audrey II in the original Broadway production in 2003. He was last seen as Judge Turpin in the Barrow Street Theatre production of Sweeney Todd.

Directed by Mark Brokaw, Little Shop of Horrors will additionally feature Megan Hilty as Audrey; Josh Radnor as Seymour; Nick Cordero as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S.; Amber Iman, Amma Osei, and Allison Semmes as the urchins; and Lee Wilkof (the original Seymour) as Mr. Mushnik.
