Ford's Theatre 2017-2018 Season Announced
Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman and A Christmas Carol featuring Craig Wallace to open the season.
Plans have been announced the Ford's Theatre 2017-2018 season, which will kick off with Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman (September 22-October 22), directed by Stephen Rayne.
The season will continue with the theater's annual production of A Christmas Carol (November 16-December 31), featuring Craig Wallace reprising the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Michael Baron will again direct Michael Wilson's adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic.
Also this season, Ford's Theatre will present the American premiere of Jefferson's Garden (January 19-February 11), written by Timberlake Wertenbaker and directed by Nataki Garrett, followed by William F. Brown and Charlie Smalls' The Wiz (March 9-May 12), directed by Kent Gash. Dell Howlett will choreograph with music direction by Darius Smith.
In addition, performances of the Ford's Theatre Society's actor-led History on Foot walking tours of downtown Washington, D.C., and daytime one-act play performances of One Destiny will continue in the spring of 2018.
Ford's Theatre has also announced plans to produce August Wilson's Fences as part of the following 2018-2019 season.
