The recipients of the 2019 Helen Hayes Awards, honoring theater in Washington D.C., have been announced.

This year's crop of winners included 2019 Tony nominee Ephraim Sykes, who earned the Outstanding Performer – Visiting Production award for his turn in Ain't Too Proud — The Life and Times of the Temptations. Kiss Me, Kate's Corbin Bleu took home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical – Hayes honor for his performance in Anything Goes at Arena Stage, with Broadway's Natascia Diaz earning the Lead Actress award for her work in Passion at Signature Theatre. Tina Landau earned the Outstanding Direction in a Musical – Hayes honor for her direction of Dave at Arena Stage.

Recognizing work produced in the 2018 calendar year, nominations are made in "Helen" or "Hayes" cohorts, depending on the number of Equity members involved in a production.
