Arena Stage Casts Five Local Young People in Molly Smith’s Production of The Music Man

Arena Stage has announced the casting of five local young people in its upcoming production of The Music Man, to run May 11-July 22 in the Fichandler Stage. Molly Smith will direct.

Having exhausted all 102 counties in Illinois, Professor Harold Hill gives Iowa a try and soon enough convinces River City they must form a boys’ band. Soon, this Music Man has transformed the entire town.

The cast’s five young local actors include Ian Berlin, 11 (Winthrop Paroo), Heidi Kaplan, 9 (Amaryllis), Jamie Goodson, 13 (Gracie Shinn), Colin James Cech, 14 (River City kid), and Mia Goodman, 10 (River City kid). Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
