As She Defies Gravity at the Carlyle, Mandy Gonzalez Tells Us What It Takes to Be Fearless

Gonzalez celebrates her new album with a stint at the famed nightclub.

Throughout her career, Mandy Gonzalez has had to be fearless. The daughter of a Mexican migrant worker and a Jewish Californian, Gonzalez made her Broadway debut in Aida, and later scaled the ladder to appear in the famous musicals In the Heights, Wicked, and Hamilton. Now, she's preparing for an upcoming engagement at the Café Carlyle, October 24-November 4, in tandem with the release of her new album, Fearless. The title track is penned by her longtime friend Lin-Manuel Miranda, and she offers us a preview of that song and a Wicked classic.
