With Help From Sondheim, Merrily We Roll Along Gets a New Look
Fiasco Theater presents a fresh take on Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's nostalgic musical at Roundabout.
Art is imitating life in Fiasco Theater's brand-new revisal of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Merrily We Roll Along, now running at Roundabout Theatre Company's Laura Pels Theatre. Directed by Fiasco ensemble member Noah Brody, the show is performed by a real-life group of "old friends" who had the opportunity to collaborate with Sondheim himself, digging through old drafts to piece together their own version of the retrospective musical. Hear what the company had to say about crafting such a deeply personal production alongside a living legend of musical theater.
