Tam Mutu and More Bring Glamour to the Stage in Cole Porter's The New Yorkers

Cole Porter's rarely seen musical takes the stage at City Center.

Cole Porter and Herbert Fields' 1930 tuner The New Yorkers is back in the Big Apple for a run through March 26 as part of City Center's Encores! series. The madcap musical tale of bootleggers and chorines features a cast headlined by Tam Mutu and Scarlett Strallen, alongside a dynamite comic ensemble including Ruth Williamson, Arnie Burton, Robyn Hurder, and Kevin Chamberlin, who takes on perhaps the toughest role: the one originated 87 years ago by the legendary Jimmy Durante. Here are some ha-cha-cha-cha highlights.
