Stars Ask the Stars at the Opening of What the Constitution Means to Me
Rachel Brosnahan, Ariana Debose, and Michael Urie have some questions for Heidi Schreck and the cast of her all-American play on opening nig
Heidi Schreck's extended Broadway engagement of What the Constitution Means to Me celebrated its official opening last night at the Helen Hayes Theater. The play, written by and starring Schreck, follows her own history as a teenager competing in Constitutional debates for college tuition money, as well as how the document has served (or not served) four generations of women in her family line. As stars of stage and screen walked the red carpet before the opening-night curtain went up, we collected a few of their burning questions for Schreck and her castmates (including current teenage Constitutional debaters Rosdely Ciprian and Thursday Williams), who shared what amendment they'd like to see added to our nation's founding document, and what the Constitution means to them now after bringing this play to Broadway.
