Meet Jeremy Pope and the Men of Tarell Alvin McCraney's Choir Boy
Manhattan Theatre Club presents McCraney's Broadway debut this winter.
After an acclaimed off-Broadway run in 2013, Tarell Alvin McCraney's Choir Boy is getting ready to make its Broadway debut, and so is the playwright himself. This drama with music, directed by Trip Cullman, explores what it means to be a man — and particularly, what it means to be a black man. At a recent press event, McCraney, Cullman, and the company — led by Jeremy Pope, Chuck Cooper, and Austin Pendleton — filled us in on what to expect.
