Laura Donnelly, Jez Butterworth, and More Prepare Us for The Ferryman

Butterworth's Olivier Award-winning play, directed by Sam Mendes, is premiering on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

After a successful, award-winning run in London, Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman has finally made it to American shores with most of its original cast members, including Paddy Considine, Olivier Award winner Laura Donnelly, and Genevieve O'Reilly. They and others in the cast, as well as the playwright himself, met the press at Sardi's Restaurant recently to discuss Butterworth's period drama, set in rural Northern Ireland in 1981 amid the Troubles. Hear what they had to say, especially about the play's potentially intimidating three-hour length.
