Buddies In Bad Times Theatre
Buddies in Bad Times Theatre has grown to be the biggest and most famous gay and lesbian theatre company in the world. One of Canada's most influential and vital theatre companies, Buddies produces radical, new Canadian stage works. Since its founding in 1979, Buddies has spawned the careers of countless theatre people while garnering almost an equal number of awards. The company moved in 1991 to Alexander Street from its first performance space on George Street. Located in the city's gay and lesbian district, the Alexander Street space has two stages: a main space called The Chamber, seating up to 300, and a smaller venue, Tallulah's Cabaret.
