DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY
I suspect that Mr. Isherwood has never loved or been loved. He seems to delight in shows with on-stage rapes, abortions, suicides, cynicism, and a total lack of hope. DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY is an unashamed love story that is absolutely beautiful to watch unfold. The music is some of the best in many a season and so gorgeous to listen to. The cast is first rate and it is my hope that with some work on the book that this show will have a long life. At long last, a love story to cherish and remember.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN
I was hoping that he would get caught by the first act curtain so that I could leave. What a dreadful score, dreary choreography and a most annoying characterization by Norbert L. Butz. He came off as such a buffoon and totally unbelievable character and I really had to look away when he was on stage. Only Tom Wopat brought some humanity and dimension to the evening. Are all musicals destined to have a Rockets kick line. I know the out of towners think its great but enough already. Leave it to the owners at the Music Hall where it works
