Hugh Jackman to Play Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre in July

Hugh Jackman will perform a two week engagement of his show, Hugh Jackman in Concert at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, running July 5-17, according to a report in the Star.

In the show, Jackman, backed by an 18-piece orchestra, performs selections from his career onstage in the U.S., U.K., and Australia, as well as standards. During his recent engagement in San Francisco, numbers included songs from The Boy From Oz, “O What a Beautiful Morning” from Oklahoma!, “Soliloquy” from Carousel, the theme from Arthur, “As Time Goes By”, “Staying Alive”, and “Over the Rainbow, among others.

Jackman won the Tony for his portrayal of the late singer Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz. Among his other stage credits are A Steady Rain and Oklahoma! His film credits include X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Australia, The Prestige, and The Fountain.
