Zero Hour, One Man Star Wars Trilogy, The Second City and More to Play Maltz Jupiter Theatre in 2010-2011

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has announced its 2010-2011 season.

The season, entitled “Where Art Comes to Life,” features five plays and musicals: the courtroom drama Twelve Angry Men (November 2-14); the world premiere of the coming-of-age musical Academy (December 7-19); Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music (January 11-30); a look at a great performer, Jolson at the Winter Garden (February 22-March 13); and the Gershwin tap-dance extravaganza Crazy for You (March 29-April 17).

Special limited engagement presentations will include Jim Brochu’s one-man show about Zero Mostel, Zero Hour (October 14-24), Charles Ross’ One Man Star Wars Trilogy (February 5) and Rob Becker’s Defending the Caveman (February 9-10), as well as appearances by The Capitol Steps (December 31 – January 1) and The Second City (February 28). In addition, the theater will offer children’s theater productions throughout the year, which will include TheaterworksUSA’s Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (February 12).

The Maltz Jupiter limited engagement programming will be rounded out with screenings of such films as Twelve Angry Men (October 18), The Sound of Music (December 29) and The Jazz Singer (February 7), as well as concert appearances by the Palm Beach Gardens Concert Band (December 20), Jay and the Americans (February 14), and The Celtic Tenors (March 17).
