Two Gentlemen of Verona Musical Plays Orlando in August

The Orlando Shakespeare Theater’s The Young Company (TYC) will present the Tony Award-winning musical Two Gentlemen of Verona at the John & Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center for three performances, August 7-9. The musical, by William Shakespeare, Galt MacDermot, Mel Shapiro, and John Guare, will be directed by Bob Dola, the theater’s director of education.

The TYC provides talented high school students of culturally diverse backgrounds with a nurturing environment, which encourages positive self-expression through their active participation in the exploration of Shakespeare and related drama. The program is open to students entering 9th grade through graduating seniors interested in learning more about theatre, Shakespeare, and self-expression through the arts.
