Sharon Gless to Star in GableStage’s Round-Heeled Woman

Emmy Award winner Sharon Gless will once again star in Jane Prowse’s play, A Round-Heeled Woman, when it makes its Southeastern premiere at Florida’s GableStage, December 30-January 30.

The play is about a retired school teacher who has not had sex in 30 years, and who sets out to remedy the situation by placing an ad in the personals in the New York Review of Books. The work is based on Jane Juska’s book A Round-Heeled Woman: My Late-Life Adventures in Sex and Romance.

Gless starred in the world premiere of the play at San Francisco’s Z Space last year. Her stage credits also include Cahoots, Watch on the Rhine, Misery, and Chapter Two.She is best known for her film and television work, which includes Cagney & Lacey, The Trials of Rosie O’Neill, House Calls, Switch, Queer as Folk, Burn Notice, and Hannah Free.
