Award-winning actress Charlotte Cohn will star in the Southeastern premiere of Handle with Care, written by her husband, playwright Jason Odell. Kristen Coury will direct the production, which will play the Gulfshore Playhouse, October 27-November 28.

The play is the story of Ayelet (Cohn), an Israeli girl who is dragged by her grandmother on a road trip to America in search of a dream. Despite a botched DHL delivery, an unexpected blizzard, and an ill-equipped translator who is not really cut out for the job, the clues her grandmother deftly leaves behind eventually lead Ayelet to find what she didn’t even know she was looking for: her destiny.

The cast will also include Geraldine Librandi as Edna, Michael Zlabinger as Josh, and Justin Swain as Terrence.

Cohn won an Ovation Award for her performance in La Boheme at The Ahmanson Theatre in L.A. She also appeared in La Boheme on Broadway. Gulfshore Playhouse and The Norris Center will be presenting her cabaret show, Simply Complicated: The Elegant Escapades of a Danish-Israeli Opera Singing Tank Commander on April 27 and 28.

Williams, who will be in residence at the Playhouse throughout the rehearsal and performance process, will participate in “Playwright Talk-backs” following the 8pm performance on November 10 and the 3pm matinees on November 13 and 20.
