Surflight Theatre has announced casting for All Hands on Deck!, to run September 21 – October 2. Jody Madaras, who’s written the book for the piece that he has co-conceived with Quincy Marr, will direct and choreograph the production, which will have music direction by Jeremy Randall.

The musical is a reproduction of the kind of USO show Bob Hope and Jack Benny might have take to U.S. troops over 65 years ago, and will feature over 40 classic Big Band hits in original arrangements including “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” “Atchison, Topeka And The Santa Fe,” “I’m In The Mood For Love,” “I’ll Never Smile Again,” “Any Bonds Today?,” and “Deep In The Heart Of Texas.”

The company will feature Madaras as Ted Crosley, Chelsea Lovett as Betty Blake, Haley Swindal as Daisy Maxwell, and Sean Watkins as John Handley.

The creative team will include Andy Reidemann (scenic design), Herrick Goldman (lighting design), and Brent Howell (sound design), along with Jody Madaras The Costume Mine, which will provide costume design.
