About This Show

Persephone Projects focus on masks and voice. Jack Shepherd and Oliver Cotton’s Man Falling Down: A Mask Play takes a look at the full mask, the comic half mask, and the three-quarter mask employed in classical Greek and Roman theatre. A wild selection of text and stories — including St. John, Milton, Dante, Orpheus, Comedia and The York Mystery Cycle — influences the project. Troilus and Cressida explores the eloquence possible in speaking Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida. The production is played with live music and minimal settings.
