Scrooge, the Musical

Watch out – that old miser, Ebenezer Scrooge has been seen lurking around the Blair Family Arts Center at the Bullis School! OK, it’s not really old Scrooge himself. It’s actually talented, veteran actor Vin Kelly, and he’s starring in Potomac Theatre Company’s upcoming production of Scrooge, the Musical, the beloved holiday classic from composer Leslie Bricusse.

Scrooge, the Musical is based on Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, and was originally released as a feature film starring Albert Finney. The movie was so successful that Bricusse developed a live show for the London stage, with Anthony Newley as Scrooge. Several new songs were added for the theatrical version, and it became an instant holiday classic.
