Based on two classic picture books by Bernard Waber, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile and The House on East 88th Street, Lyle the Crocodile features Lyle, the multi-talented, helpful, non-judgmental crocodile, and the human family he lives with, the Primms. Lyle is living in their bathtub when the Primms move into their new apartment. He quickly works his way into their hearts, but finds it is much trickier to be accepted by others outside the family. But after a parade, a trip to the department store, a run-in with a neighborhood cat and a stint in the zoo, Lyle saves the day and earns his place as a beloved friend and neighbor. Lyle the Crocodile has a mid-20th century sensibility and aesthetic and is a love letter to New York City.
