About This Show

Peter Brook, whom many consider the pre-eminent theater director of the 20th century, enters the 21st with a play that emerged from the South African townships during the era of apartheid. In Mothobi Mutloatse’s adaptation of the short story The Suit by author Can Themba, he creates a bitter, beautiful account of the collapse of an apparently happy marriage: of infidelity, alienation and the inability to communicate. This production is presented as part of the du Maurier World Stage Festival.
This production will be presented in French with English translations.
