About This Show

Action-Musicals bridge the gap between east and west with a stunning display of dance, acrobatics, and martial arts artistry along with eye-popping sets and costumes. Tang Concubines tells the true story of two legendary concubines who both had love affairs with father and son Emperors. The first half features the story of Wu Ze Tian, a concubine who treacherously rose to become China’s first and only Empress. The second half is the story of Yang Gui Fei, born eight years after the death of the First Empress, who sacrificed her life to save both the kingdom and her beloved Emperor. Law was drawn to contrast the power-hungry ambition of one concubine against the sacrificial love of the other, and, in the process, explore the roots of the downfall of this majestic dynasty.

No Matinee Saturday, September 16th.
