The day Mamie Smith recorded the blues for the first time, the world changed forever. In modern day Toronto, a married woman takes comfort in the music of Smith while she battles her own blues. When she discovers that her husband is unfaithful, she studies the situation?literally?by moving in with the “other woman.”
