About This Show

Winner of innumerable European festival awards, Fire in the Head is a phenomenal piece of theatre by two of Germany’s hottest young talents. Twenty-four-year-old Marius von Mayenburg’s disturbing portrait of a family’s disintegration is being hailed as the most exciting piece of new writing in recent German theatre. Teenage siblings Kurt and Olga become unnaturally close, and Kurt’s obsession with fire leads the pair into a world of their own, where the unthinkable is their only reality. This production is presented as part of the du Maurier World Stage Festival.
This production contains nudity. The show is performed in German with simultaneous translation.
