In their cottage in county Galway, Maureen and Mag engage in a bitter but hilarious battle of wills. Maureen, well past any hope of romance, feels trapped by her responsibilites to her manipulative, infirm mother. When a handsome neighbor offers Maureen love and a chance to escape, the final battle for control begins. Garry Hynes, Artistic Director and Founder of the Druid Theatre Company, made Broadway history when she became the first woman to win a Tony Award for Best Director. Making its Canadian premiere, the production is presented in association with the Druid Theatre Company/Royal Court Theatre.
