Love is Here to Stay: A George Gershwin Revue was commissioned by and first performed at the 2006 Oklahoma Shakespearean festival. With musical concepts and arrangements by Jeff Lankov and book by Dell McLain, the show traces the life and musical works of one of America’s greatest composers and includes the well known American standards “The Man I Love”, “I Got Rhythm” selections from Porgy and Bess and perhaps Gershwin’s finest work, “Rhapsody in Blue”.
