About This Show

New Line Theatre presents Chicago, the Broadway mega-hit about murder, sex, and vaudeville. Rejecting the stripped down leather clad pretensions of the recent revival, New Line returns to the 1920s vaudeville flavor that the legendary director/choreographer Bob Fosse so masterfully crafted in the original production. Based on the true stories of two Chicago women, Beulah May Annan and Belva Gaertner, who murdered their lovers and parlayed their crimes into national fame, the show tells their story in the language of vaudeville, through ventriloquist acts, sister acts, strip tease acts, comedy numbers, torch songs, and big, splashy dance numbers.
