The Rocky Horror Show

In a wild take-off on the Frankenstein story, Rocky Horror combines R-rated science fiction, campy antics, trashy fantasy and ridiculous comedy with a rousing rock ‘n roll score. When Brad and Janet, an innocent, newly-engaged couple, are forced to seek assistance at a remote castle, they are unprepared for the crowd of freaky characters assembled there, led by the flamboyant mad scientist Frank-N-Furter. Soon Brad and Janet find themselves seduced by Frank-N-Furter’s unrestrained lifestyle, while Rocky, the Adonis-like man created in the lab, wanders the castle, and a delivery boy named Eddie goes missing. Will Frank-N-Furter’s quest for absolute pleasure be his downfall?

In keeping with the Rocky Horror tradition of fan participation, Kelsey Theatre invites theater-goers to dress up as the characters, shout “call-backs” at the stage, and use props at appropriate moments. Audience participation kits will be available in the lobby.
